Matt Prokop, known for his role in Disney's High School Musical 3: Senior Year, has been arrested on multiple charges including possession and promotion of child pornography, as well as evading and resisting arrest. The Victoria County Sheriff's Office in Texas released his mugshot on Tuesday, January 13, though the arrest occurred on Christmas Eve, December 25.
The 35-year-old actor is currently being held without bail at the county jail. The arrest is reported to have resulted from an alleged violation of bond conditions related to a previous set of charges from 2024, in which Prokop was accused of assaulting his former girlfriend, actress Sarah Hyland, and resisting arrest. Hyland had previously obtained a restraining order against Prokop, citing verbal and physical abuse, and he was ordered to stay away from her for three years.
It remains unclear how Prokop allegedly breached his bond conditions leading to the latest arrest. He has yet to respond to the charges. In addition to his role as Jimmie 'Rocket Man' Zara in High School Musical 3, Prokop has appeared in Hannah Montana, The Office US, Modern Family, and the Disney Channel film Geek Charming.
