Katie Price has declared she is “not stupid” when it comes to her husband Lee Andrews, after flying to Dubai in an attempt to secure his release from prison. The 48-year-old married the businessman earlier this year within days of meeting him, sparking widespread concern.
Andrews was due to appear on Good Morning Britain with Price last month but failed to show. Price initially claimed he was “missing”, before it emerged he had been detained at Al Awir prison in Dubai on espionage accusations. Price later confirmed that Andrews eventually admitted he had a travel ban, telling him he made her “look like a d**k” with the lies.
In an interview with The Sun, Price said she is prepared to end the relationship if she does not get satisfactory answers when she finally speaks to him. “I’m not a mug and when I finally see Lee, I am going to question him. And if the answers I get are not right, that will be it: I’ll be done,” she said.
Price arrived at the prison with Andrews’ case number and was initially told she would need to pay £6,500 for his release. However, she was then informed of a third case “relating to property” requiring a £140,000 payment, which she reportedly refused to pay.
While in Dubai, Price also met with Andrews’ ex-partner Dina for her podcast. Price said her “eyes have been opened” but urged other exes to stop issuing warnings about Andrews. “I just need some time to think. I still cannot end things with Lee until I’ve spoken to him, but that was a lot,” she added.
