"My heart absolutely sunk," Bourne told PoliticsJoe. "I thought 'Oh no, this is not good' because I could already picture in my head how this could be framed and how this could be interpreted, and the ramifications around that."
Bourne maintained that he had "absolutely no awareness" of Lucas's Jewish background before the incident, claiming he only knew the comedian from his role in the television show Little Britain alongside David Walliams.
