Dianne Buswell says baby bump 'growing by the day' in 'back home' update

Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell has shared a pregnancy update, revealing her baby bump is 'growing by the day' as she returns to the UK after spending Christmas in Australia. The dancer, who is expecting her first child with YouTuber Joe Sugg, posted a series of photos on Instagram on Sunday evening (January 11) showing her bump in a cropped blue jumper.

Buswell, 35, and Sugg, 33, met on the BBC dancing competition in 2018 and confirmed their relationship shortly after the final. They announced they were expecting a baby boy just weeks before the 23rd season of Strictly began in September, making Buswell the first pregnant dancer to compete on the series. She was partnered with Neighbours star Stefan Dennis, but their time ended early due to his injury.

Despite the setback, Buswell continued to perform in professional routines and appeared at the 2025 final in December, which was won by Karen Carney and Carlos Gu. After the series, the couple flew to Australia to spend the festive season with Buswell's family, where they were treated to a baby shower decorated with blue balloons and ribbons.

In her latest update, Buswell posed in front of a mirror, wearing a blue cap and a jumper featuring ducks, flowers and trees. She wrote: 'That side view is growing by the day' and joked that she 'still can't see her feet'. Other photos showed her doing pilates and relaxing in her 'fave room'. She also revealed gifts from her parents and Sugg, including a copy of Patrick Karst's novel The Invisible String and a hospital bag.

Buswell's Strictly colleague Vito Coppola commented 'Gorjiiiiiii' on the post, while fans wished the couple well. Buswell noted that returning to the gym has made her 'feel so much better', adding: 'I had a few weeks off and I can confirm I feel so much better when I'm moving.'
