Singer D4vd has cancelled his European and UK tour dates as he remains at the centre of an investigation into the death of a 15-year-old girl whose body was found in a vehicle registered to him.
The 20-year-old, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, had been scheduled to perform in Amsterdam and Dublin as part of his Withered 2025 World Tour. Both shows have been cancelled due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to venues. Tickets for his upcoming Australian concerts remain available.
The cancellations come a day after his US dates were axed, including a performance in Los Angeles and an appearance at the Grammys Museum. A concert in Seattle was also pulled at the last minute.
Authorities discovered a “severely decomposed” body in a bag inside a Tesla registered to Burke at a tow yard in Hollywood on September 8. The body has been identified as missing teenager Celeste Rivas. Her death is being treated as a homicide.
On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department served a search warrant on Burke’s Hollywood Hills home. Police said Burke is cooperating with the investigation. The Rivas family described themselves as “heartbroken and devastated” and have set up a GoFundMe page to cover funeral costs.
Questions have arisen over a possible connection between Burke and Rivas. The Los Angeles County medical examiner noted Rivas had a “Shhh…” tattoo on her right index finger, a design that Burke also appears to have. A song called “Celeste” on SoundCloud credited to D4vd was reportedly leaked in 2023. Burke has not issued a public statement.
