Carl retaliated by revealing he had learned from a doctor that Kevin's chemotherapy had finished weeks ago, exposing Kevin's deception about his cancer. Later, Carl arrived at Kevin's house to argue further. Kevin warned him to 'make it quick' and insisted Carl must go along with the lie or face being reported for the theft.
