Cher's Son Arrested Twice in Three Days in New Hampshire

Elijah Allman, the 49-year-old son of Cher and the late Gregg Allman, has been arrested for the second time in three days. The latest incident occurred on Sunday in Windham, New Hampshire, where he allegedly broke into a home.

Local police stated that Allman faces charges of burglary, two counts of criminal mischief, and breach of bail. He was arraigned on Monday and is being held on preventative detention.

Allman's first arrest came on Friday after he allegedly caused a disturbance at St. Paul's School in Concord, New Hampshire. Police reported that he was acting belligerently and had no affiliation with the school. He was charged with two counts of simple assault, criminal trespassing, criminal threatening, and disorderly conduct.

Allman has a history of legal and personal struggles, including drug addiction and mental health issues. In December 2023, Cher filed for conservatorship over her son, citing his inability to manage his finances due to severe mental health and substance abuse problems. She dropped the bid in September 2024 after reaching a private settlement.

Allman's estranged wife, Marieangela King, has previously expressed support for him, noting his commitment to sobriety and resilience. The couple married in 2013, and Allman filed for divorce in November 2021.
