Charles Drury, the former partner of reality TV star Lauren Goodger, has reportedly shocked friends by creating a profile on a dating app, where he is said to be leveraging his minor celebrity status and his role as a father to attract potential matches.
Dating Profile Details Raise Eyebrows
Images circulating online appear to show the profile of the 27-year-old, where he lists his four-year-old daughter, Larose, as his 'greatest strength'. The profile also directs users to his Instagram page, which boasts 73,000 followers. A source close to the situation told The Sun that while Charles is single, the move has surprised their social circle, many of whom believed the pair were reconciling.
The insider claimed, 'The thing that surprised her pals the most though is that Charles talks about their baby daughter Larose in his profile... It very much feels like he is using the fact that he is a dad and a decent number of Instagram followers to attract women.' A representative for Lauren Goodger declined to comment when contacted by the Daily Mail.
A Turbulent Relationship History
The news comes after a year of apparent reconciliation between Drury and Goodger, 38. Last year, the couple were pictured enjoying a family holiday with Larose, suggesting they had mended their relationship despite previous concerns from friends that it had turned 'toxic'.
Their history, however, is marked by profound tragedy and legal strife. In 2022, Lauren tragically gave birth to a stillborn daughter, Lorena. On the day of Lorena's funeral, Charles was accused of attacking Lauren, leading to their initial split. He was subsequently charged with assault and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour, charges which he denied. The case was dropped after Lauren withdrew her support, resulting in a not guilty verdict.
Future Plans and Co-Parenting Struggles
Earlier this year, the pair seemed to rekindle their romance, being photographed together at a zoo. Sources at the time claimed Lauren was 'planning a future' with Drury and even considering having another child with him. 'The truth is, she does still have feelings for him and would love nothing more than to have another child with him in the not-too-distant future,' an insider revealed.
Despite this, Lauren has previously spoken openly about the difficulties of co-parenting with Charles following their split and the immense grief of losing Lorena. The latest development with the dating app suggests a significant shift in their dynamic, leaving friends stunned and the future of their relationship uncertain.
