Adam Peaty's Brother Arrested Over Stag Do Threats

Adam Peaty's brother, James Peaty, has been arrested on suspicion of harassment after allegedly sending threats to the Olympic swimmer during his stag do. The 34-year-old was questioned by police on Monday and released on conditional bail, according to Staffordshire Police.

The Olympic swimmer, 30, returned from a trip to Budapest on Sunday and was given a police escort at Manchester Airport. He was reportedly 'freaked out' by the 'increasingly abusive' threats he received. A police spokesperson confirmed the arrest and release on bail while enquiries continue.

The incident comes amid reports of a feud between Adam and his family, who feel 'pushed aside' ahead of his wedding to Holly Ramsay, daughter of chef Gordon Ramsay. The couple are due to marry at Bath Abbey at Christmas. James had been asked to be a groomsman but was not invited on the stag do due to a row.

Tensions reportedly escalated after comments Adam made about James in his book The Gladiator Mindset, where he wrote about James having demons. James felt portrayed as a 'bum'. Their father Mark said the situation has 'got out of hand', while a family source described the feud as 'heart-breaking'.

Holly has also been accused of causing tension by not inviting Adam's mother, Caroline, to her hen do at Soho Farmhouse. Caroline posted on Instagram: 'Crying is a way your eyes speak when your mouth can't explain how broken your heart is.' Representatives for Adam and Holly have been contacted.
