Strictly 2026: Sarah Storey Fourth Contestant

Strictly Come Dancing's fourth contestant for the upcoming 2026 series has reportedly been revealed, with a decorated Paralympian set to take to the dance floor. According to reports, cyclist Dame Sarah Storey will be the fourth celebrity named in this year's line-up.

Sarah Storey Joins the Line-Up

Dame Sarah Storey, the most decorated British Paralympian of all time, is said to be "delighted" to be part of the show and "really excited to be learning a new skill" ahead of the series later this year. A source told The Sun: "She is obviously very competitive and hopes to give the contest her all, while letting viewers get to know her personality. She's also keen to embrace the glamour of the show and is looking forward to getting dressed up."

Storey follows in the footsteps of other Paralympians who have taken on the challenge, including Jonnie Peacock, Will Bayley, Jody Cundy, and Ellie Simmonds.

Earlier Announcements This Year

The announcement comes as fans were surprised to see the names start coming in earlier than usual. The BBC show typically makes its announcements from August onwards, but this year the names have come sooner. EastEnders star Lacey Turner was first up, followed by Love Island favourite Dani Dyer and singer Delta Goodrem.

Lacey Turner, who plays Stacey Slater on EastEnders, said: "I am so excited to be making my way to the dance floor this year to be a part of Strictly! I am a huge fan and can't quite believe I will be taking part and not watching at home this year! I look forward to meeting everyone and learning a new skill!"

Dani Dyer, daughter of actor Danny Dyer, expressed her excitement: "I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September! I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one! I'm just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it!" Dyer had to withdraw last year due to injury before the show began.

Delta Goodrem is also looking forward to the experience.

New Hosts for the Series

The BBC show returns in autumn and winter, marking the first series since hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman quit the programme. After a lengthy wait, their replacements were announced: a trio of presenters consisting of Johannes Radebe, Josh Widdicombe, and Emma Willis.

Johannes Radebe, who previously served as a professional dancer on the show, said: "To be returning to Strictly Come Dancing in this new role is beyond anything I ever imagined. This show has always stood for joy, heart, and togetherness, and I feel deeply honoured to now help carry that magic forward. To do it alongside the formidable Emma Willis and the utterly brilliant Josh Widdicombe makes it even more special. I'm ready – sequins, nerves, and all... please bear with me. Love Jojo."
