Spice Girls Confirm 2019 UK Tour Without Victoria Beckham

The Spice Girls have announced their first tour in a decade, with six UK stadium dates scheduled for June 2019. The group, consisting of Mel B, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, and Mel C, will perform without Victoria Beckham, who cited business commitments for her absence.

In a statement, Beckham said: 'Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour.' Mel B expressed hope that Beckham might join some shows, saying on ITV's Loose Women: 'It's just the four of us that are fully confirmed, but Vic might join us at some point.'

The tour will kick off at Manchester's Etihad Stadium on 1 June, followed by dates in Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol, and concluding at London's Wembley Stadium. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10.30 GMT, with support from Jess Glynne.

The announcement was made via a video styled as a news bulletin, showing the members bickering over Geri's outfit before breaking into song. Geri said: 'I am so excited, together we celebrate girl power with our fans and the next generation.' Emma Bunton added on her Heart Radio show: 'I'm just so excited, I want it out there.'

The Spice Girls originally split in 2000 after Geri's departure, but reunited for a tour in 2007 and last performed as a five-piece at the London 2012 Olympics. Their debut single 'Wannabe' topped charts in 37 countries, and their album 'Spice' sold over 23 million copies worldwide.
