Sam Fender's pre-sale for his St James' Park shows has been postponed to 9:30am tomorrow after a sophisticated bot attack hit the Gigantic ticket site, leaving many fans unable to purchase tickets.
The pre-sale went live at 9.30am on Wednesday, but fans were met with website errors. While other dates in Cardiff, Edinburgh and London sold well on Ticketmaster, there were issues for the home shows at St James' Park.
As a result, only a small amount of real fans ended up with tickets. Tickets for the show have appeared on ticket reselling site StubHub for up to eight times the face value.
Sam Fender's statement on the bot attack
Sam Fender was forced to make a statement on the matter. He said: "Being told by the promoters that there's been a sophisticated bot attack to the gigantic ticket site which is impacting the St James' Park Pre-sale. We're going to have to move the Newcastle pre-sale to 9:30am tomorrow to ensure real fans get the tickets."
He posted the statement to his Instagram story earlier this morning when the bot attack was first revealed.
What fans can expect next
