Sam Fender will headline two concerts at Manchester's Etihad Stadium on July 15 and 17, 2027, as part of his Proper Massive stadium tour. The shows mark the North Shields singer-songwriter's first Manchester performance since his appearance at Wythenshawe Park in August 2025.
Tour announcement and support act
The Proper Massive tour, which coincides with Fender's upcoming fourth album, was first teased through a series of posters across the country before the official announcement. The tour kicks off with two homecoming shows at St James' Park in Newcastle on June 3 and 5.
Fender, known for songs including Seventeen Going Under, People Watching and Hypersonic Missiles, won the Mercury Prize last year and donated the £25,000 award to grassroots music venues. He will also play stadiums in Cardiff, London, Dublin and Edinburgh before finishing with two shows in Manchester.
Newquay-based rock band Wunderhorse will provide support at the Etihad Stadium shows.
Etihad Stadium capacity and seating plan
Manchester City's North Stand was expanded earlier this year, bringing the full seated capacity for football games at the Etihad Stadium to 61,095. According to the seating map, tickets for the Sam Fender shows will include general admission and front standing in addition to seating, meaning the capacity is likely to be higher.
The venue map and seating plan for the shows, according to Ticketmaster, could be subject to change.
