Rod Stewart has announced his 'last ever' tour with a series of UK dates for 2027, thanking fans for 'everything' over his six-decade career. Just weeks after undergoing heart surgery, Rod, 81, confirmed with 'sadness' that his upcoming tour will be his final one on stage.

In a video shared to Instagram this morning on September 28, the rocker revealed: "Ladies and gentleman after much deliberation and sadness, I have to announce next year will be my last ever tour, ever ever."
"I'm not retiring but this will be the last rock and roll tour so I want to thank you for everything you've given me and hopefully I've given you something in return." Standing next to a piano, Rod comically hits the keys as he sings: "Please come back and see me on the tour. It's going to be great."
Rod's announcement was captioned: "Well, here we go... one last time! Come and see me on my One Last Time Tour for one more round of rock 'n' roll. I'm really looking forward to it. Get your tickets not with link in the bio."
UK and Europe Dates
Rod's UK and Ireland dates for 'The Final Encore' includes a night in Glasgow on April 29 2027. Rod will also perform in Dublin, Belfast, Manchester, London and Birmingham between April and May next year, playing one night in each city.
After completing the UK leg of the tour, Rod will play another 15 shows across Europe.
Recovery and Fan Reactions
His final farewell comes after Rod was forced to cancel the remainder of his North American tour in August while recovering from a routine coronary stent procedure. The singer was forced to take a minimum of four weeks away from the stage.
Rod told the Record last month that his operation "wasn't as bad as everyone is making out" and reassured fans online that he was "very much on the mend." His wife Penny Lancaster recently revealed on Vanessa Feltz' YouTube show At Home With Vanessa that the Maggie May rocker has already been back in the gym as he is 'eager' to get back to performing.
Rod sparked concern earlier this year when he required an oxygen tank on stage during a June 2026 show in Utah as he almost fainted. The incident was attributed to high altitude; however, it was later discovered that Rod had an underlying heart issue.
Penny said: "Fortunately it was at the right time at the right place and they detected a slight blockage which needed a stent which according to research it appears most people over the age of 65 will often need and require a stent."
Reacting to Rod's final tour announcement, fans rushed to the comments. One wrote: "Hard to believe this man's in his 80s. We should all be as energetic and entertaining as this fellow in our 80s. Wonderful entertainer throughout the decades... Bravo !" Someone else replied: "Best wishes and love to you Rod."
Rod Stewart will perform one last time in Glasgow on April 29 next year.
