A large crowd queuing along London's Regent Street has been identified as fans waiting for a Freya Skye Hollister pop-up event. Footage shared on TikTok showed dozens of people lined up in the rain, with many appearing to be younger women, before the reason became clear.
What was the crowd waiting for?
The queue was captured in a clip by TikToker @caround3world, who captioned it: "Omg Regent Street is so busy because of the Freya Skye Hollister pop-up". In the comments, one person wrote: "Our girl is so loved." The uploader described the area as "so busy" before realising that something exciting was happening inside one of the street's popular clothing stores.
Who is Freya Skye?
Freya Skye is a 17-year-old British singer, songwriter, and actress from Buckinghamshire. She first gained prominence representing the UK at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 with her track "Lose My Head". Since then, she has secured a talent deal with Disney's Branded Television division and landed the role of Nova Bright in "Zombies 4: Dawn of the Vampires".
She has also released her debut EP "Stardust", featuring tracks such as 'petty' and 'why'd you have to call'. Freya commands 2.4 million followers on TikTok, where she frequently posts lip sync trend videos and offers fans previews of new music.
The Hollister collaboration and pop-up
Freya teamed up with Hollister Co. as the headline face and collaborator for their worldwide denim and back-to-school campaigns, most notably the 'Made for this Moment' campaign. The collaboration includes her own curated line and merchandise, with 'Freya Skye's favs' showcased on the brand's website, featuring items such as layering pieces, baggy jeans, and co-branded Freya Skye graphic tees and hoodies.
Every item in the collection carries a small tag on the website indicating her personal approval. Hollister also organised interactive pop-up events at selected flagship stores, including London's Regent Street, to showcase the clothing range. Fans formed lengthy queues as Freya herself was present, greeting people and delivering acoustic performances of her songs.
The pop-up fits naturally with Hollister's predominantly teenage and Gen-Z audience, as the brand regularly collaborates with emerging talent, generating the kind of buzz seen on Regent Street.
