Liam Gallagher has set Oasis fans abuzz once again with a cryptic tweet hinting at a 'big announcement' just days after the band concluded their world tour. The frontman posted 'BIG ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT' on Twitter, reigniting speculation about future plans for the iconic Britpop band.
The tour, which marked Oasis's first live performances together in 16 years, wrapped up last weekend after 41 shows across five months. Starting in Cardiff in July, the band played in the UK and Ireland before heading to Australia, Japan, South Korea, the Americas, and finishing with two nights in São Paulo, Brazil.
Fans have been quick to share theories, with many hoping for additional dates, particularly in Europe, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their legendary shows at Maine Road and Knebworth. Others speculate about a potential documentary, a new album, or even a connection to Spotify Wrapped.
Adding to the excitement, eagle-eyed fans spotted a new mural of Liam Gallagher being painted in Manchester's Northern Quarter. The artwork, located on Salmon Street, was later covered with a black sheet, but some images suggest the numbers '2025' or '2026' may be featured, fueling further conjecture about future tour dates.
Oasis rhythm guitarist Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs also joined the conversation, responding to Gallagher's tweet with 'Boneheads a geezer' and urging him to 'hurry up'. The exchange has been widely shared on social media, including on the Oasis subreddit, where fans are divided between hope and scepticism.
