Niall Horan surprised fans at Manchester's Co-op Live on Friday night, September 25, by bringing out Blossoms singer Tom Ogden on stage. The former One Direction star was performing at the venue as part of his latest tour, Dinner Party Live On Tour, when he announced to the crowd that he had a surprise for them. It turned out to be Stockport's own Tom Ogden.
Fans react to surprise duet
One fan, @tourwithnic, posted a video on TikTok showing the duo on stage with the caption: “The minute he said “I've got a surprise for you” I didn't know what to expect and he didn't' disappoint!”. The video also included the text: “Niall bringing out Tom Ogden was not on my bingo card! So insane”.
The duo performed Blossoms hit Charlemagne together, dancing along to the music. Tom was described as every inch the rockstar with wide leg trousers, sunglasses and his signature long hair.
Videos go viral
Another video, posted by TikTok user Ashlie Scholes, amassed more than 28,000 likes and 90 comments. One user, Connor Adams, wrote: “This sound proper suits Niall” with a fire emoji. Another, ALI-(BEE)vegab_lady_, wrote: “nial sounds incredible..both voices sound amazing together really blend well.”
Co-op Live also posted their own video on Instagram with the caption: “the collab we never knew we needed” with the heart-eye emoji. It shows fans dancing along to the performance and received dozens of comments. One, kitaverse, wrote: “Iconic, never gonna shut up about being there.” Another, Imogen.red, commented: “What an amazing thing I got to experience tonight!!!”
