Miss Hoolie Returns to CBeebies with Bedtime Story Ahead of Balamory Revival

Julie Wilson Nimmo, best known as Miss Hoolie from the beloved children's series Balamory, will read a CBeebies Bedtime Story on Friday 17 April. The episode, airing at 6.50pm on CBeebies and available on BBC iPlayer the same day, features Benjamin Zephaniah's book People Need People, which explores themes of kindness, community and cooperation.

The reading aligns with the values of Balamory, where Miss Hoolie's character promotes friendship and mutual support. Nimmo said: 'I love it when people are there for each other. If you can help someone, it might just make their day! And if you are ever stuck, never be afraid to ask for help.'

The Bedtime Story precedes the return of Balamory to CBeebies on Monday 20 April at 5pm. The new series, consisting of 10 episodes, will be available in full on BBC iPlayer from the same day, introducing the colourful island and its characters to a new generation while rekindling nostalgia for original fans.
