Oasis have announced a 14-date reunion tour of the UK and Ireland for 2025, marking the first time Liam and Noel Gallagher will perform together since their acrimonious split in 2009. The tour will take place in July and August at stadiums in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin, with tickets going on sale on 31 August.
A press release stated that the reunion was not sparked by any single revelatory moment, but rather a gradual realisation that the time was right. In a joint statement, the band said: 'The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.'
The tour will come 16 years after Noel Gallagher quit the band before a show at a French festival, and 30 years after the release of their second album, '(What's the Story) Morning Glory?'. The setlist will not be explicitly tied to that album, unlike Liam's ongoing anniversary tour of 'Definitely Maybe'. No plans have been made for new music.
The lineup for the reunion has not been confirmed, and the band will not be headlining Glastonbury as previously rumoured. The press release described the dates as the 'domestic leg' of the tour, with plans for shows beyond Europe later in 2025.
In recent days, the Gallagher brothers teased the announcement on social media, and Liam dedicated songs to Noel during his headline set at Reading festival. Relations between the siblings appeared to have softened, with Noel recently praising Liam's singing abilities in a video marking the 30th anniversary of 'Definitely Maybe'.
