Law Roach, the self-proclaimed 'image architect', has become one of the most sought-after celebrity stylists in Hollywood, working with A-listers including Zendaya, Celine Dion and Ariana Grande. Named one of the most powerful celebrity stylists by The Hollywood Reporter and featured on Business of Fashion’s BoF 500 list, Roach is known for his ability to adapt to each client's unique style.
At the 2019 Emmys, Roach worked overtime to ensure his clients Zendaya and Jameela Jamil were among the best dressed. Zendaya wore a custom Vera Wang gown inspired by the supervillain Poison Ivy, while Jamil's Monique Lhuillier dress was matched to the hue of Disney's Princess Jasmine. Jamil paid homage to Roach, calling him her 'ultimate fashion crush'.
Roach's career began in Chicago, where he owned a vintage shop called Deliciously Vintage. His big break came when Kanye West visited the store, sparking international attention. He later signed his first client, R&B singer K. Michelle, before meeting Zendaya, whom he describes as his 'style soul mate'.
As the first African-American stylist to land the cover of The Hollywood Reporter’s Stars & Stylists issue, Roach uses his platform to promote black beauty and culture. He helped Zendaya craft her Tommy Hilfiger collection, which celebrated black women. 'Why don’t we see more black stylists working with A-list Hollywood actresses?' he asked, stressing the importance of inclusion in the fashion narrative.
