Laura Whitmore Welcomes Second Child 'Unexpectedly Early'

Laura Whitmore, the Irish TV presenter and former host of Love Island, has announced the 'unexpectedly early' arrival of her second child with husband Iain Stirling. The 41-year-old star shared the joyous news on social media, posting a tender image of the newborn’s hand resting on her chest.

A New Arrival

In her announcement, Whitmore revealed the baby’s arrival last month, writing: 'A new player has entered the game! We welcomed the most precious baby last month, unexpectedly early and with dramatic flair (wouldn’t expect anything else). I had made a 5 hour birthing playlist this time…only played about 3 songs – ended up using it post birth. It’s a reaaally good playlist, can somebody please use it.' She added that she had been 'enjoying baby smells, lack of sleep and scrumptious hands and wrists.'

Family Life

The couple, who married in 2020 and welcomed their first daughter in March 2021, had announced they were expecting again in February this year. Scottish comedian Iain Stirling, known as the narrator of Love Island, also celebrated the new arrival with a social media post featuring a white knitted beanie, boots, and a jumper embroidered with 'littlest living legend.' He humorously captioned it: 'Say hello to our newest living legend. I always wanted someone in the house who would stay up late and watch the World Cup with me. But this feels a little excessive.'
