Former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher has left his social media followers astonished by posting a rare and heartfelt photograph of his brother, Dean. Fans were quick to comment on the striking family resemblance, with many suggesting the pair could be twins.
A Touching Tribute on Instagram
The 41-year-old star, best known for playing Andy Sugden on the ITV soap from 1996 to 2016, took to Instagram to share a nostalgic throwback. The post featured two pictures: one of Kelvin and Dean as youngsters sitting on a sofa in matching outfits, and a more recent snap of the brothers with their own children.
Alongside the images, Kelvin penned an emotional caption. 'The sofa’s different but the love is the same, and we are now sharing it with our 8 beautiful children,' he wrote. 'Still my biggest supporter, my closest confidant and my deepest bond. I love you brother.'

Since departing the Dales, Kelvin has embraced a new life in the countryside with his family. He and his wife Liz Marsland, 40, whom he married in 2015, live on a 120-acre farm in Wincle, Cheshire. They have four children: Marnie, Milo, and twin sons Maximus and Mateusz.
The family's agricultural adventures are documented on their ITV show, Fletcher's Family Farm. The programme offers viewers an intimate look at their life after a planned move to California was halted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a recent Christmas special, the family visited Austria, where Liz humorously reflected on her role after a baking lesson. 'That's probably Kelvin's dream woman. A farmer's wife... and he got me, and I can't cook,' she joked to the camera.
A Close-Knit Family Bond
Kelvin's bond with his brother Dean has been a constant source of support. Dean was visibly present in the audience cheering Kelvin on during his stint on Strictly Come Dancing in 2019. During a post-dance interview on the show, host Claudia Winkleman highlighted their relationship, to which Kelvin replied, 'Yeah, he's my best mate, I idolise him.'
The actor has two brothers. Dean largely stays out of the public eye, while his other brother, Brayden, made a television debut on Coronation Street in 2019. Kelvin also has a half-sister, musician Keeley Forsyth.
Speaking about his family's farming life and their documentary, Kelvin has expressed pride in their new chapter. 'You take great pride in producing food and having a real acknowledgement towards nature... it’s a privilege,' he told BBC Breakfast. He also noted that capturing their journey on film has created a beautiful record for their family.
