Kelly Clarkson has postponed the August dates of her Las Vegas residency, citing health issues affecting her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. The singer and talk show host announced the decision on social media, explaining that she needs to be fully present for her children during this difficult time.
The postponed shows, originally scheduled for August 8-9 and 15-16 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, are part of her 'Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions' residency. The residency is expected to resume in November, with performances set for the 7th, 8th, 14th, and 15th. Caesars Palace has advised ticket holders that they can retain their tickets for newly announced 2026 dates or request a refund within 30 days.
This is not the first disruption to Clarkson's schedule this year. Earlier in 2025, she missed ten episodes of her talk show without explanation. In early July, she cancelled a Vegas show just 90 minutes before it was due to start, citing vocal strain from rehearsals.
Clarkson shares two children, River Rose and Remington Alexander, with Blackstock. The couple married in 2013, separated in 2020, and finalised their divorce in 2022 after a protracted legal battle. In a recent podcast, Clarkson spoke about the challenges of co-parenting, noting that her children seem to give their father more leeway when he is absent.
Fans have largely expressed support for Clarkson's decision to prioritise her family, echoing her message of grace and understanding during this personal time.
