Former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson and her rapper fiancé Zion Foster have reportedly called off their engagement and split after four years together. The news comes just weeks after the couple publicly revealed their twin daughters' devastating diagnosis with a rare genetic condition.
A Heartbreaking Hint on National TV
It appears the 34-year-old singer may have signalled the relationship troubles earlier this month. During an emotional appearance on This Morning on 7 January 2026, Jesy was notably not wearing her engagement ring. She had used the interview to raise awareness about her daughters' condition, Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1.
Zion had proposed to Jesy in September 2025, with the singer proudly showing off a dazzling ring at the time. The absence of the ring during such a public and difficult conversation now seems a poignant clue to their private struggles.
The Focus on Twin Daughters Ocean and Story
The couple's primary concern remains the health and welfare of their twin girls, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe. The babies were born prematurely in May 2025 and spent weeks in intensive care. Earlier this January, the parents shared that the twins had been diagnosed with SMA, a condition that progressively weakens the body's muscles.
During her TV interview, Jesy gave a raw insight into their daily life, stating: "Story has to be on a breathing machine at night because she isn't strong enough to breathe by herself. They have to have Cough Assist machines... I have to put feeding tubes down their nose." She described the immense challenge of learning complex medical care while processing the diagnosis.
United in Co-Parenting Their 'Little Warriors'
Despite the end of their romantic relationship, sources confirm that Jesy and Zion are committed to working together as parents. A source told The Sun: "She and Zion remain friends and are fully focused on their daughters. They are fully united in co-parenting. Their priority continues to be the well-being of their daughters."
Both have shared touching tributes to their children on social media. Zion posted a moving poem on Instagram, calling Ocean and Story "two little warrior girls who already know how to fight." He expressed that his main worry was about loving and accepting them unconditionally, regardless of their future milestones.
Jesy also recently posted an update, sharing a photograph of herself taking the twins on a winter walk, with the babies wrapped up warmly in their pushchair. The pair, who have been together since 2022, are now channelling all their energy into supporting their children through their health battle.
