Jamie Foxx launched into a furious rant after a partygoer allegedly threw a glass bottle at rapper GloRilla while she performed onstage at his daughter's Halloween music festival. The actor grabbed the microphone at Skvlk Fest, held at his Los Angeles home on Friday, to express his anger over the incident, which was captured on video and shared on social media.
"Why would you do something like that?" Foxx, 57, asked the crowd during his expletive-laden tirade. "Why would you throw something at the stage, man? Why? This is for free." He demanded to know who was responsible, adding, "Y'all don't deserve this s***. That's f***** up, bro. I'm so disappointed. I love y'all but hate whoever the f*** that was."
GloRilla, 26, whose real name is Gloria Woods, had stopped performing after the bottle narrowly missed her. She warned the audience, "I don't care how young you is, you can get your ass beat. You'll get your mother-f***ing ass beat." She later resumed her set, performing her hit song "TGIF." The private event, restricted to guests aged 14 to 22, also featured artists Tyga and Leon Thomas.
Foxx later praised his 17-year-old daughter Anelise, whom he shares with ex Kristin Grannis, for organising the festival. In a series of Instagram posts, he called the event "magical" and said, "When she was a little kid, that was her dream and aspiration... it is now coming true." The actor did not mention the bottle-throwing incident in his social media posts.
The altercation comes less than a year after Foxx required stitches when a glass was thrown at his face during his own birthday party.
