The post came after James's mother Susie appeared on the E4 show Celebs Go Dating, where she made pointed comments about her son's failed marriage. She said: 'I do have a strong opinion on why I think it went wrong. You can't have two stars because you have them competing for the floor space the whole time.' Susie also claimed that prior to his marriage, James's girlfriends 'loved me, which is a bonus.'
James and Chloe split in 2023 after five years of marriage and share a daughter, Bodhi. The former rugby player, who recently joined the dating show, has spoken positively about his ex-wife, calling her 'intelligent, driven, generous' and a 'great mum.' He confirmed he had her permission to take part in the show.
