Jade Thirlwall's debut single "Angel of My Dreams" has found a new lease of life in the United States after Kylie Jenner walked the Victoria's Secret runway to the track, and producer Mike Sabath says he is delighted by its renewed recognition.

The former Little Mix star, 33, reached number 5 in the UK charts with the anthem after its release in March 2025. Now, following Jenner's runway appearance, the song has gained fresh momentum stateside, where Sabath is based.

Producer celebrates renewed success

Speaking to the Mirror on the red carpet at the Mercury Prize Awards in Newcastle, Sabath, who also helped produce Raye's Mercury Prize-winning album "THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE," expressed his pride at the song's resurgence. "It's great. I mean, I've always loved that song. England held it down with that song. You guys know it, so yeah, it's great that Kylie Jenner dialled us in," he said.

Jade recently joked she intends to "milk the f***" out of the song's resurgence, and Sabath is equally enthusiastic about its newfound attention in his home country.

Plans for Jade's second album

Sabath revealed he and the Newcastle native are working on her second record. "I'm working with some of the artists I've like always wanted to work with," he said of his future plans. "And also, me and Jade are locked in on the new record, which is going crazy. We're banging it out, you know, it's [going to do] things."

Jade told press at the event she is weeks away from heading back to Los Angeles to begin "solidifying" the sound of her second album. "[I'm] buzzing off my boobs!," she said. "So, so excited. I'm a bit overwhelmed, to be honest – there's a lot going on right now, but I'm very happy to be here! I'm busy writing [my second album] with Mike Sabath. We've been doing a lot in the summer, in between the little breaks in the festival run. I'm going to LA in a couple of weeks to start solidifying what this is going to sound like. So, still kind of early stages, but I love the writing process."

Raye praises collaborator on stage

Sabath also received high praise from Raye during her acceptance speech at the Mercury Prize Awards. She thanked him for his efforts and support, and reiterated her comments in the winner's room.

When asked who she would like to thank for helping her achieve the accolade, she said: "My collaborator Mike Sabath, who is just the most incredible producer ever. I said it on stage, but he really is. I'm so glad we've been brought together and we just make really good music and we have the best time doing it. So Mike Sabath, I've known him since before he had facial hair! We go way back [laughter]."
