Echo & The Bunnymen announce surprise Liverpool show

Echo & The Bunnymen have announced a surprise hometown celebration at Liverpool's Camp and Furnace on Wednesday, December 16, with tickets priced at £45. The newly announced date for the upcoming tour follows the release of the band's first album of new music, Apples For Isaac, in 12 years.

Homecoming Celebration Confirmed

Formed in Liverpool in 1978, Echo & The Bunnymen became one of the biggest bands of the post-punk era. The group have retained an enduring appeal over the years with their songs featuring in the likes of Donnie Darko (2001), and more recently in Stranger Things.

Some of their biggest hits include "The Killing Moon", "The Cutter", "Bring On the Dancing Horses", "Lips Like Sugar" and "Seven Seas". Apples for Isaac is the band's 13th album and follows 2014's Meteorites and the 2018 compilation The Stars, the Oceans & the Moon.

Tour Dates and Ticket Details

Last month, the band announced a British tour with several dates, including a stop at New Brighton's Floral Pavilion. Today (October 19), a special homecoming celebration has been confirmed for Liverpool's Camp and Furnace on Wednesday, December 16.

Tickets for the extra date go on general sale at 10am on Friday, October 23, via Gigs and Tours and Ticketmaster, with all other dates on sale now.
