Eamonn Holmes has been seen smiling in hospital alongside his partner Katie Alexander, in his first public picture since suffering a stroke in April. The GB News presenter shared the image with The Sun, expressing his eagerness to return to work.
Holmes, who was hospitalised earlier this year, said: "I can't wait to be out of this gown and back in a suit and tie. Watch this space. I'll be back after this break." This update comes after his son Declan had previously described the stroke as a "real shock".
The former This Morning star had earlier posted a picture of his granddaughters holding a sign saying "Get well soom", joking about the spelling error and thanking well-wishers. He wrote on Instagram: "As my beautiful Granddaughters put it so well - I will do my best to get well SOON."
GB News chief executive Angelos Frangopoulos said at the time: "Eamonn is a loved member of the GB News family, and we're with him every step of the way as he recovers."
