Singer D4vd has cancelled the remaining dates of his US tour following the discovery of a dead body in a car registered to him. The Los Angeles Police Department found the remains on September 8 at a tow yard, identified as 19-year-old Celeste Rivas, missing since April 2024.
The 20-year-old musician, real name David Anthony Burke, was on his 'Withered' North American tour when the news broke. He performed in Minneapolis the day after the discovery without addressing it, but later cancelled a show in Seattle on September 17. Remaining dates in Los Angeles and a Grammy Museum appearance were quietly removed from venue websites.
Burke is 'fully cooperating' with authorities, according to NBC News, and the vehicle had not been reported stolen. Unconfirmed photos online allegedly show Burke with the victim. The investigation is ongoing.
In response, Crocs and Hollister have suspended their collaboration with the singer for their 'Dream Drop' campaign. A deluxe version of his album 'Withered', due September 19, has been postponed. Tickets for his European tour, starting October 1 in Norway, remain on sale.
