Creamfields has announced an ambitious new stage concept, Runway 2.0, set to debut at its Cheshire site in 2027, combining the defining features of two of the festival's most iconic stages: Runway and HALO.
First introduced in 2022, Runway became a fan favourite, delivering an immersive experience synonymous with the festival. In 2025, it evolved into HALO, featuring a 45-metre circular arena with overhead video, lighting, and sound. Now, following demand for Runway's return, Creamfields is reimagining the stage for a new chapter.
Design and Capacity
Designed by Lucid Creates, the creative studio behind the original Runway and HALO concepts, Runway 2.0 will unite both structures in a bold new design. The stage will have a capacity of 20,000 and span 60m long by 40m wide. Its reconfigured arena layout combines HALO's circular design with Runway's iconic structure, extending above the crowd.
At its centre, three 15-metre overhead diamond structures lined with LED screens will tower overhead, creating a visual centrepiece. An enhanced design will introduce a more complex overhead LED display, with sweeping visuals, dynamic lighting, and immersive video content flowing from the stage across the diamond structures.
Immersive Experience
With the DJ at the heart of the experience, the configuration will transform the arena into a constantly evolving visual spectacle. The result promises to be one of the most ambitious stage developments in Creamfields' history, merging Runway's scale and energy with HALO's 360-degree production.
