Beyoncé celebrated a major milestone on Thursday. The superstar, 44, took to Instagram to mark the 10-year anniversary of her iconic album Lemonade, which was released on April 23, 2016.
The Halo hitmaker shared a sun-drenched snap of herself on the beach, posing with three lemons and a bottle of SirDavis American Rye Whisky from her collaboration with Moët Hennessy.
'Cheers to ten years! With love and deep gratitude,' the billionaire singer wrote in the caption, along with a lemon and bee emoji. The Grammy winner wore a flower crown and a flowing beige set, with her long tresses swept into a side ponytail.
Her 307 million fans were thrilled as they marveled at the album being 'the greatest of all time,' while some even speculated that her holding three lemons could be a clue about her next album.
Her 2024 country-infused album Cowboy Carter served as the second installment of her ongoing trilogy, following the 2022 release of Renaissance, which celebrated house and disco as Act I. Fans are still awaiting the announcement of Act III, which is widely rumored to be a rock-inspired project.
'3 LEMONS ACT 3,' one noted in the comments. 'Okay 3 lemons,' another added. 'The 3 lemons #weready.' '3 Lemons… ACT iii on da wayyy.'
The superstar appeared to have the entire beach to herself, as she posed against a serene backdrop of the ocean. However, another snap revealed a lavishly decorated outdoor table set for a number of people, suggesting the singer was preparing to host a beachside dinner. The hitmaker also treated fans to a brief video of an open-air beach bar, with a lone bartender.
Lemonade — the singer's sixth studio album — was a surprise release. The 12-track album made headlines around the world for its lyrics about infidelity and Beyoncé's relationship with her husband, 56-year-old rapper Jay-Z. It was released alongside a visual album of the same name that premiered on HBO, showing her smashing cars with a baseball bat and addressing themes of adultery, revenge, and ultimately forgiveness. In particular, her calling out 'Becky with the good hair' sparked a frenzy over the identity of Jay-Z's side woman.
Lemonade won Grammys for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best Music Video, along with a Peabody Award and four Emmy nominations. In August, the songstress achieved a major career milestone when she got one step closer to EGOT status.
Beyoncé has garnered a total of 35 Grammys thus far and recently scored her first Emmy win for Netflix's Beyoncé Bowl special, which aired Christmas Day last year. The songstress concluded her Cowboy Carter Tour in July, with concerts officially kicking off in April in support of her eighth studio album of the same name.
Last December, Beyoncé officially reached billionaire status, cementing her place as one of the most powerful figures in modern music and joining an extraordinarily small group of artists to cross the coveted ten-figure threshold. According to Forbes, the superstar is now one of just five musicians to achieve billionaire status, alongside her husband Jay-Z (estimated net worth of $2.5 billion to $2.6 billion), Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and Rihanna.
The milestone came after a period of extraordinary reinvention for Beyoncé, whose career continues to evolve more than two decades after she first rose to fame. While her 2023 Renaissance World Tour was already considered a career high — grossing nearly $600 million and becoming one of the highest-earning tours in history — the following year saw her take an unexpected creative turn. In 2024, Beyoncé released Cowboy Carter, her first country album that opened new commercial doors, including a high-profile NFL Christmas Day halftime performance and what would go on to become the world's highest-grossing concert tour of 2025. The combined impact of those ventures ultimately pushed her net worth into billionaire territory.
