Beatlemania Part Three: Fab Four's Studio Years 1965-67

The third instalment of a special Mirror publication series on The Beatles is now available, covering the band's transformative years from 1965 to 1967. This edition traces how John, Paul, George and Ringo moved away from their chaotic touring schedule to focus on the experimental recording techniques that defined their mid-60s output.

From Merseybeat to Psychedelia

The publication follows the group's evolution from the Merseybeat sound of "She Loves You" to the hypnotic rhythms of "Tomorrow Never Knows" and the acclaimed album "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band." During this period, the band explored the teachings of the Maharishi and Indian culture, while spreading their message of "All You Need Is Love."

This era also brought challenges, including the death of manager Brian Epstein, which put the band's fame into perspective, alongside the negative reception to their 1967 film "Magical Mystery Tour."

A Lasting Legacy

Using images from the Mirrorpix and Getty Images archives, the special publication documents how the band helped shape the Swinging Sixties and produced some of their most memorable music. The third of four editions is now on sale through the online shop.
