Romeo Beckham kisses male co-star in raunchy tennis thriller

Romeo Beckham, the 24-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham, kisses his male tennis rival in his acting debut, the steamy French romance drama Forty Love. The trailer shows him getting intimate with actor Paul Kircher, who plays his on-screen opponent.

A fiery on-screen rivalry

The former footballer plays a cocky tennis ace who becomes embroiled in a fiery love-hate relationship with rising star Sacha Gallo, played by Kircher. In one heated exchange, Romeo's character taunts his rival: "It’s not my fault if you’re f****** in love with me."

Things get even steamier as the pair are seen lying together in bed, bathed in red light, but the romance soon takes a seriously sinister turn. One bizarre scene shows Romeo lying unconscious as his rival drags him into a hotel room, while another shot sees him sprawled on a tennis court.

A sinister twist

Kircher's character feasts on his blood-covered insides as the French star then declares: "I think I killed him!" It's a far cry from Romeo's usual life strutting down catwalks for luxury fashion giants.

The Beckhams' lad previously dreamed of following dad David into professional football before turning his attention to modelling. He also showed promise as a youngster on the tennis court and a coach once described his skills as "extraordinary." Now those talents are getting an unexpected workout on the big screen.

Approval and release details

Girlfriend Kim Turnbull appeared to approve of his raunchy new role as she was spotted "liking" the trailer on social media when it dropped on Thursday. The film, directed by fashion photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti, also stars French screen legends Catherine Deneuve and Guillaume Canet.

Forty Love hits cinemas in France on November 25, but no UK release date has been announced yet.
