Rare football cards could be worth a small fortune if they have a limited number of markings, according to experts. The tips were shared at a free event in London celebrating 20 years of Topps Match Attax.
Top Tips for Spotting Valuable Cards
Coach Cain explained that the new Match Attax collection has an all-new rarity system. He said: "The new Match Attax collection has an all-new rarity system which makes it nice and easy for fans and collectors to gauge which cards are more valuable than others. On top of limited edition cards, they have ratings one star up to five stars and then the mystical rarity being the rarest, these are the rarest finds in the whole collection."
Hundreds of young football fans and families gathered at London's Olympia to celebrate 20 years of Topps Match Attax. The event, hosted by social media stars Coach Cain and Jack Whyte, took place in West Kensington during the October half-term and was free to attend.
Celebrating 20 Years of Collecting
Coach Cain said: "It was brilliant to see so many Match Attax fans out in force celebrating 20 years of collecting. For so many football fans, opening their first Match Attax pack is one of their earliest memories of the game, so to see a new generation of collectors sharing that same excitement was really special. The atmosphere was incredible, and it just goes to show how Match Attax continues to bring football fans of all ages together."
Attendees had the chance to get their hands on the latest 2026/27 UEFA Club Competitions Match Attax collection, featuring stars including Lamine Yamal, Bukayo Saka and Michael Olise.
