Sienna Blake’s (Anna Passey) return to the village has antagonised a number of Hollyoaks residents, including Abigail Matthews (Brooke Vincent), who is not pleased about Cleo McQueen’s (Nadine Mulkerrin) ex being back.
Cleo, as viewers know, was in a longterm relationship with Sienna until this year when everything fell apart in dramatic fashion. Sienna had been on a dark path since Jez (Jeremy Sheffield) – who turned out to be a serial killer – came into her life, with the former high school teacher killing Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey) on their wedding day and helping her twisted dad get rid of Dilly’s (Emma Johnsey-Smith) body after he murdered her in cold blood.
Earlier this year, she pushed Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix) into a watery grave and blamed it on her own daughter – and then subsequently pointed the finger at girlfriend Cleo, who was experiencing postpartum psychosis at the time and thus believed such allegations. However, Cleo soon came to realise that Sienna was gaslighting her and confronted her over pushing Clare, which is what led to a dramatic showdown that culminated with the cops taking Sienna away.
Sienna’s return sparks tension
But several months later, Sienna is back in the village – and it’s safe to say that the residents haven’t forgiven her for what she did. Though much of her focus is on Ste Hay’s (Kieron Richardson) unexpected vanishing, Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) is reeling when she sees Sienna and wastes little time in giving her a piece of her mind over how she treated Cleo, warning her to stay away.
Cleo, meanwhile, is horrified to learn Sienna is out of prison and is shaken upon setting her sights on her. Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) is on hand to offer support, but Abigail spies them through the window – and snaps a picture on her phone.
Abigail’s jealousy grows
Abigail, as viewers know, slept with Cleo earlier this year and very much saw a future with her. Cleo, however, didn’t feel the same and swiftly cut ties, which didn’t go down too well with the newcomer.
Will Abigail use the image she’s taken as leverage over Cleo following their split? And will it prove pivotal when the truth about Dodger and Cleo’s affair is inevitably exposed? We’ll just have to wait and see but, with Sienna back in the village, Abigail confronts Cleo over her ex’s return – and it’s clear that she’s jealous. Cleo simply brushes it off when talking to Dodger about it – but should she be worried?
