The three new hosts of The Grand Tour made a pilgrimage to Jeremy Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire to seek the blessing of the man whose name remains synonymous with the show. Francis Bourgeois, James Engelsman and Thomas Holland found Clarkson behind the meat counter when they arrived at the farm, the beloved setting of Clarkson's Farm on Prime Video.
For Holland, stepping through the farm gate carried an extra layer of strangeness. "About two years earlier, I went to the farm as a tourist, just for fun," he told The Express. "I went into the tent and had a beer...and the next time I was back there it was to talk to Jeremy Clarkson, so that was a bit weird."
Seeking Blessing at The Farmer's Dog
The farm provided the backdrop for the opening scenes of the debut episode of the rebooted series, with the trio shown cruising through the countryside before pulling up at Diddly Squat. They made their way to The Farmer's Dog, the venue where the original Grand Tour sign still hangs from the ceiling, before cautiously approaching Clarkson.
Bourgeois nervously asked him if they could use the tent as their studio, a reference to a Clarkson's Farm moment when Jeremy sought help from his old Grand Tour boss asking for the use of the same tent. After the jokes had settled, the mood shifted. Clarkson straightened and told them plainly: "Listen guys, seriously, have fun with this. I mean it, good luck, and don't f*** it up." The line has since become the moment most widely shared by fans online.
A Sincere Message That Resonated
Yet according to the new hosts, it was not the most meaningful thing Clarkson said that day. Once Bourgeois, Engelsman and Holland had left the farm, Clarkson turned to the camera and said something they would not hear until much later. "I have got to be honest with you, I have actually been watching what they have been up to for the last year and a half, and they are very, very good," he said. "I think you are going to love it."
None of them knew those words had been spoken, but they said the "sincere message" had "resonated a lot harder than just the brief piece of advice".
Clarkson's Farm Season Six Confirmed
Fans will see Diddly Squat Farm again in the upcoming season of Clarkson's Farm, after the hit Prime Video series was officially renewed for a sixth season. Clarkson confirmed that season six was officially in production and actively filming, and it is expected to air in the summer of 2027, though this has not been set in stone.
In July 2026, Clarkson shared an update on new additions to Diddly Squat Farm, taking to social media to say: "I've always never been able to decide which is Britain's most beautiful bit: North Devon or the Yorkshire Dales. But I've just spent the last three days in the Scottish Borders and now I have an answer. God almighty, they're beautiful." He subsequently noted: "Also, I bought some cows there." The Grand Tour and Clarkson's Farm are streaming on Prime Video.
