Winter Wonderland is set to return to Adventure Valley in County Durham this Christmas, with tickets already on sale. The festive event will run from November 28 through to Christmas Eve, December 24, 2026.
What to Expect at Winter Wonderland 2026
Billed as 'the greatest Christmas event in the North East,' the attraction offers a range of activities for visitors of all ages. Highlights include rides on the Winter Valley Express, a visit to Claus' Candy Sweet Shop where guests can create their own pick 'n' mix, decorating a festive gingerbread biscuit with Mrs Claus, and taking on the Snowball Arena with Trixie the Naughty Elf.
A new activity for 2026 is the Build-a-Reindeer Factory. Of course, there will also be the opportunity to meet Santa, followed by a visit to the Elf Toy Shop to choose a gift.
Ticket Prices and Availability
With huge demand expected, tickets are already on sale via the Adventure Valley website. Prices range from £43.95 to £46.95 for children, which includes all activities and a meet-and-greet with Santa. Adult tickets are priced between £16.95 and £19.95. Babies under 12 months can enter for free.
According to Simon Duke, What's On Editor for ChronicleLive, 'it feels particularly unseasonal to be writing about festive events' in July, but planning ahead is worthwhile as 'the way the last few months have whizzed by, it'll be December before we know it.'
