UK Pride Weekend: 10+ Parades and Free Events

Pride celebrations across the UK are in full swing, with over 10 festivals and parades taking place up and down the country this weekend. The biggest of the celebrations, Chester Pride, attracts over 20,000 visitors per year and takes place in Castle Square. Tickets for Chester Pride start from £10 and can be purchased here.

Most of the other events (such as Caldicot, Cumbernauld, and Levenshulme) are smaller local community Prides. Here's all the Pride events happening this weekend and where to buy tickets.

Levenshulme Pride

When: Friday 14 August to Sunday 16 August
Where: South Manchester's Levenshulme district

Levenshulme Pride started in 2017 and has established itself as the largest free local Pride in Greater Manchester. All events and activities at Levenshulme Pride are free to attend. Find more information here.

Basingstoke Pride

When: Saturday 22 August, 11am - 4pm
Where: Festival Place Amphitheatre, Basingstoke

Basingstoke Pride is made up of a group of volunteers all based in and around Basingstoke and Deane. Formed in November 2023, the organisation provided Basingstoke with its first Pride Parade last year. Basingstoke Pride tickets are free, find more information here.

Calderdale Pride

When: Saturday 15 August, 1pm
Where: Darkland Brewery / Pallet Bar, Halifax

The main annual Calderdale Pride festival for 2026 was cancelled due to rising staging and funding costs. However, organizers are still hosting their fifth annual Queerfest fundraiser event on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at the Pallet Bar (Darkland Brewery) in Boothtown, Halifax. Caldicot Pride

When: Saturday 15 August, from 11am
Where: Parade in Calidot Town Centre from 11am, celebrations at Caldicot Castle 11am - 6pm

In 2024, Calidot Pride celebrated the first all-ages Pride event in the area. Last year, it grew into a much larger event, and now Calidot Pride is fundraising for year three. Funds raised go towards essential health and safety work which will ensure the event is both safe and accessible. You can donate here.

Chester Pride

When: Saturday 15 August
Where: Castle Square, Chester

Chester Pride brings thousands of people together at Castle Square for one of the region’s biggest LGBTQ+ celebrations. Whether you’re joining the parade, watching live entertainment or visiting community stalls, the day helps support LGBTQ+ people across Chester, Cheshire and North Wales. Colchester Pride

When: Saturday 15 August
Where: Lewis Gardens, Colchester

Colchester Pride started in 2017 and was founded by a small team of dedicated volunteers. Since then it has grown in size and scale, thanks to support and funding from a number of organisations. Colchester Pride has also been nominated for the King's Award for Voluntary Service. This award is the equivalent of an MBE for groups and organisations. All individuals wishing to attend Colchester Pride must have booked a ticket or purchase on at the desk upon arrival. Standard tickets start from £10, you can buy them here.

Crawley Pride

When: Saturday 15 August
Where: Goff's Park, Crawley

Crawley Pride brings famous LGBT+ acts mixed with amazing local artists, businesses and people to celebrate the amazing diversity in Crawley town. All money made from the celebrations goes towards funding projects run by CrawleyLGBT+ throughout the year and is run entirely by volunteers. Buy tickets for Crawley Pride here.

Croydon Pride

When: Saturday 15 August, 11am – 11:30pm
Where: BOXPARK Croydon

Croydon Pride envisions a diverse and inclusive community where all LGBTQIA+ residents and visitors feel valued, celebrated, and supported. This year, former Eastenders star Cheryl Fergison is set to perform. Croydon Pride is free to attend, but any donation supports its mission to provide a safe, high-energy, and inclusive space for everyone to celebrate. Get more information here.

King's Lynn & West Norfolk Pride

When: Saturday 15 August from 12pm
Where: Tuesday Market Place

The only official Pride organisation for King's Lynn & West Norfolk. We work year-round as a volunteer-run organisation who are community-led & proudly committed to full LGBTQIA+ inclusion. King's Lynn & West Norfolk Pride is free to attend and sets off from the Tuesday Market Place at 12pm. Gather from 10:30am all while we have music and on-stage entertainment to get you warmed up. Lincoln Pride

When: Saturday 15 August from 12pm
Where: Orchard Street, Lincoln

Since 2012, Lincoln Pride UK has been providing a fun and safe space in the East Midlands for people in Lincoln and the surrounding area. The Lincoln Pride 2026 Parade starts at 12pm from the Lincoln High Street, making its way through the city towards the Main Event. The parade and main event are free to attend. Swindon & Wiltshire Pride

When: Saturday 15 August 15, 11am - 8pm
Where: GWR Park

Swindon & Wiltshire Pride is celebrating its fifteenth year, expect a range of acts, stalls, entertainment, and a place to celebrate all. Tickets are free to reserve with a donation amount of your choice, find more information here. The Pride March starts at 11:30am and will make its way through town, towards GWR Park ready to begin Pride.
