A 17-year-old girl has died at Kendal Calling festival in the Lake District after emergency services were called to a medical episode in the early hours of Sunday 2 August 2026.
Police said the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene despite the best efforts of responders, including the administration of CPR.
Emergency services called at 2.13am
Officers and crews from the North West Ambulance Service attended the festival site after receiving a call at 2.13am.

Family supported
The girl's family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
