Parklife 2026: Sunny Start with 80,000 at Heaton Park

Parklife 2026 has begun with a spectacular sunny start, as tens of thousands of festival-goers descended on Heaton Park for day one of the massive Manchester music event. The annual festival, known for its sometimes rainy history, is enjoying clear skies and warm temperatures this year.

Sunny Weather and Big Names

The festival, which runs from Saturday, June 20 to Sunday, June 21, features headliners including Skepta, Zara Larsson, Calvin Harris, Nia Archives, and Chris Stussy. Gates opened at 12pm, with attendees streaming in to enjoy the sunshine and early sets.

This year marks the 16th edition of Parklife, which has grown to attract over 100,000 people across the weekend. The event originally started at Platt Fields and now calls Heaton Park home.

A major addition this year is the PANORAMA stage, featuring cutting-edge production, new LED visuals, and on-stage dancing podiums. Ella Jaya and Julian Fijima inaugurated the stage at lunchtime, with Bullet Tooth and SOSA following. Headliners for the stage tonight are Rossi and East End Dubs.

Festival Fashion and World Cup Spirit

Attendees embraced the sunny weather with bold fashion choices. Ruffle skorts, low-rise belts, silk bandanas, and cowboy boots reflected a growing country music influence. Bucket hats, man bags, and fashion trainers remain popular. With the World Cup ongoing, England and Brazil football shirts were already spotted among the crowd.

Early arrivals headed straight to the bars, where PayPal+ customers can enjoy a 20% discount on most drinks and some food stalls.
