Ignite The Night will return to Liverpool's St Luke's Bombed Out Church for an evening of music and pyrotechnics, bridging the gap between Halloween and Bonfire Night. Fire performers Bring The Fire Project will join forces with Wirral Drummers to deliver displays and performances on Sunday, November 1.
Performers and collaborations
Bring The Fire are often at the centre of Liverpool's hottest displays, including the annual Fiesta of Fire celebrations at the Royal Albert Dock, the Lunar New Year programme and independent fire workshops. Wirral Drummers have performed at festivals, carnivals and events throughout the North West with their unique style blending traditional Brazilian styles with hip hop and funk.
The two groups have been working together since 2017, when they performed together for River of Light.
Event details and accessibility
The upcoming event will bridge the gap between Halloween and Bonfire Night with an evening suitable for all ages to enjoy. Held in the St Luke's Bombed Out Church gardens from 4.30pm until 7pm, the Garden Bar will be open for the duration of the event. This is a free community event and pre-booking is not required. A suggested donation of £3 is welcome. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Due to the nature of this event, no dogs are allowed except guide dogs. A ramp will be available for wheelchair users. The inside of the church will be closed for this event.
Fireworks across the region
Halloween and Bonfire Night are just around the corner, which means fireworks displays will be taking place across the region. All around Liverpool and Merseyside, communities and businesses host their own events, complete with entertainment and activities to light up the night. Firework displays take place at various locations, including the Totally Wicked Stadium and local parks. However, if you're after a more low-key affair, schools and sports teams also organise their own events.
Families and children of all ages are welcome, with most events featuring food and drink stalls or even buffets depending on your preference. A select few even offer fun fair rides and bouncy castles. A regularly updated listicle rounds up everywhere to enjoy firework displays in Liverpool and around Merseyside.
