Aintree Racecourse is hosting a Halloween Family Day on October 25, featuring spooky activities, a live tribute performance, and seven races, all in support of the Little Lights Hospice.
Event Details and Activities
The family fun day opens its gates at 10.40am, offering Halloween-themed games and activities, including craft sessions and face painting. A live performance by Huntrix, a K-pop Demon Hunter tribute act, is also scheduled.
The event includes a pony race at 11.45am, followed by the first race at 12.40pm, with the last race at 4.10pm. Under 18s can attend for free, making it a budget-friendly outing.
Racing Highlights
The Old Roan Chase is a key feature of Aintree's autumn calendar, marking the return of National Hunt action to the home of the Randox Grand National. The race often provides an early-season look at leading chasers.
Supporting Little Lights Hospice
The Halloween Family Day supports Little Lights Hospice, formerly Liverpool's Zoe's Place, to raise awareness of the baby hospice's work as it relaunches under its new name. The partnership aims to highlight the support Little Lights provides to babies and families across the Liverpool region.
Little Lights offers specialist palliative, respite, and end-of-life care for babies and children with complex medical conditions, also supporting parents, siblings, and wider family. After being saved from closure by a community campaign in October 2024, the charity is preparing to move into a new hospice at Hayman’s Green in West Derby, due to open in March 2027.
Dickon White, managing director of Aintree Racecourse, said: "Aintree Racecourse has a proud history of working alongside groups and organisations that play an important role at the heart of the Liverpool community, and this latest partnership is another great example of that."
Christian Logue, CEO of Little Lights Liverpool, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Aintree Racecourse for choosing Little Lights as its charity partner for this year’s Halloween Family Fun Day."
