Halloween 2026 events around Cardiff are now open for booking, from pumpkin patches and scare mazes to an adrenaline-fuelled adventure at a South Wales coal mine. The spooky day falls on October 31, and activities run from the start of October through to early November.
Zip World Tower's Monsters of the Mine
Zip World Tower near Hirwaun in the Cynon Valley is hosting The Final Reckoning for 2026. Described as a one-of-a-kind Halloween experience in a South Wales coal mine where adventure meets terror, the event starts before visitors even get out of the car. Guests can brave adrenaline-fuelled adventures, the zip and the tower coaster in the dark while being tormented by a crowd of monsters. The 2026 season runs from Friday, October 9 until Sunday, November 1.
St Fagans' Halloween nights
St Fagans National Museum of History is hosting Halloween nights from Thursday, October 29 to Saturday, October 31. The event includes ghostly tours, a nightly burning of the Wicker Man, creepy crafts, street food, a traditional fairground and a makers market. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
Pumpkin picking at Forage Farm and Clearwell Farm
Forage Farm, just outside Cowbridge, opens for the 2026 season on October 3 until October 31. The patches will be full of pumpkin varieties, with tractor rides, animals, seasonal food and drink, plus entertainment. There is a spooky maize maze and an after-dark session with more thrills and scares.
Clearwell Farm at Michaelston-Y-Fedw, just outside Cardiff, is hosting a Pumpkin Festival featuring a pumpkin village, Harvest of Horror, autumn cocktails, DJs and something for all ages and scare levels. Events start on Friday, October 2.

Fonmon Castle in the Vale of Glamorgan is offering three kinds of Halloween events between September 19 and November 7: daytime family fun with character appearances from the likes of Hocus Pocus' Sanderson sisters and Maleficent, evening spooktaculars with scary characters after dark, and paranormal investigations.
Depot is hosting Halloween Bingo Lingo on October 31, transformed into the House of Horrors with twisted games, wild prizes, full venue décor and jaw-dropping performances. Fancy dress is encouraged.
Wales Millennium Centre is holding a Halloween Spooktacular on October 31, a family fun afternoon adventure with Halloween favourites, mysterious music, spine-tingling moments and a big orchestral sound as the orchestra conjures up ghosts, goblins and grins. Tickets are available now.
