Sam Fender, Harry Styles and Billie Eilish are the three acts tipped to headline Glastonbury Festival 2027, with festival boss Emily Eavis confirming that all three headliners have already been locked in.
Tickets for next year's event at Worthy Farm in Somerset went on sale last month and sold out in less than 45 minutes. Excitement has been building for the festival's return after its fallow year, and speculation over the Pyramid Stage line-up has been growing online.
Sam Fender and Harry Styles tipped for Pyramid Stage
Sam Fender is the clear favourite to headline, with William Hill giving him odds of 1/3. It would not be his first time on the Pyramid Stage, as he made his Glastonbury debut there in June 2022. A hint that he is performing came when he announced his Proper Massive Stadium Tour, which includes dates across the UK next summer. Fender has left a noticeable gap in his calendar, leaving him potentially open for a slot between stadium shows.
Harry Styles is 5/6 odds-on to headline the festival. Like Fender, he has a gap in his tour schedule next summer, meaning he would be free to perform at Worthy Farm while on a break from his Together, Together tour. The former One Direction star is yet to headline Glastonbury or play a main-stage set, but he was spotted at Worthy Farm last year.
Billie Eilish and other contenders
Billie Eilish made Glastonbury history in 2022 as the youngest-ever headliner. She made her debut in 2019 and has emerged as a frontrunner for next year, according to The Mail on Sunday. Dolly Busby told TikTok that her "source" in the music industry is "so deep" that she trusted their claims. Although Eavis has not confirmed her three headliners, she said: "We're very excited about it - it's all coming together really well."
Sabrina Carpenter is 4/1 to headline in 2027 according to William Hill's odds, while Betway have had her at 3/1. If the Espresso singer does perform, it will be her first time at the festival. Last year, she headlined BST Hyde Park, where she performed with Duran Duran.
U2, Taylor Swift and ruled-out acts
U2 have entered the Glastonbury conversation after announcing a world tour. The Greatest Show on Earth marks the band's first major tour since their anniversary tour of The Joshua Tree in 2019. Fans have noticed a wide gap in the band's schedule after their two concerts at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 18 and 19, with 11 days before their next scheduled concert at Berlin's Olympiastadion on June 30. Glastonbury, which runs from 23-27 June, sits in that gap. The band headlined the festival in 2011.
When Eavis was asked about Taylor Swift potentially headlining, she laughed it off but did not deny it. Some bookies have her at around 5/2 to headline the Pyramid Stage. She was originally booked to headline Glasto's 50th anniversary in 2020, but the festival was cancelled due to the Covid pandemic.
Oasis will not be playing, as Eavis confirmed the rumours were not true, and the band also have clashing concert dates in Manchester. Madonna will not be performing either, with Eavis telling BBC Radio 4's PM programme: "No, it's definitely not Madonna, I'll tell you that." According to the Glasto rumour tracker on eFestivals, Celine Dion, Raye, Ellie Goulding and Robbie Williams are contenders for the Pyramid Stage, with Sam Smith, Jamie T and Bicep tipped for the Other Stage.
