Gavin & Stacey star Mathew Horne will take over the decks for an exclusive DJ set at Cardiff bar The Philharmonic on A-level results day, Thursday, August 13. The event is set to help thousands of students celebrate their achievements.
A Night of Celebration
Whether they're celebrating a tidy set of A-level results or simply toasting the end of exam season, students can dance the night away as Mathew, or screen favourite Gavlaar, swaps the screen for the decks for one night only.
A-level results day is one of the biggest nights of the year for students, marking the end of months of hard work, revision and anticipation. After the nerves of collecting their grades, thousands of young people across the country come together to celebrate their achievements, reunite with friends and look ahead to the next chapter of their journey.
Festival Atmosphere
Guests can expect a night of unforgettable celebrations, with a headline DJ set, immersive lighting, confetti and spectacular CO₂ effects creating a festival atmosphere in the heart of Cardiff.
The Philharmonic is run by independent pub company Croeso, which also runs Retro, Brewhouse, Blue Bell, Daffodil, The Dock in Cardiff Bay’s Mermaid Quay, and community pubs The Discovery in Lakeside and The Bear’s Head in Penarth.
Organisers' Excitement

Celebrations take place throughout the day across all Croeso venues with the main event kicking off at 9pm in The Philharmonic. Tickets are available here.
