Costa Del Croydon, the free rooftop beach experience atop the Centrale shopping centre car park, returns for its third summer from August 7 to August 31, 2026. The pop-up has attracted over 60,000 visitors in the past two years and introduces weekly adults-only evenings for the first time.
What is Costa Del Croydon?
Located a three-minute walk from West Croydon Station, the rooftop transforms a car park into an urban beach with a giant sandpit, splash zone, fairground rides, giant chess, Hook A Duck, street food, and indoor hammocks. Entry is free, but pre-booking is recommended as sessions often sell out quickly.
Opening Times and Booking
The rooftop is open seven days a week with two daily sessions: 11:30am–3pm and 3:30pm–7pm. Walk-ins are subject to availability, and bookings open from July 31. The pop-up runs from August 7 to August 31.
Adults-Only Thursday Nights
New for 2026, adults-only evenings run every Thursday from 5pm to 8pm, featuring themed nights, drag shows, DJs, live entertainment, and cocktails. Hints include a pre-carnival dancehall celebration.
Community and Family Activities
Throughout the run, ‘Community Tuesdays’ in partnership with Croydon Voluntary Action showcase local performers and groups. Kids can enjoy face painting, arts and crafts, and dance workshops, while paid extras include go-karting and bungee trampolines.
