Ollie Watkins asked room service for a box of golf balls — and now he is sending them off the balcony of his luxury hotel as guests scramble for cover. Earlier that same day, Ferran Torres had staff fill the pool with ice cubes, then started flinging them at Spain teammate Fermín López. Guests may wonder why the footballers cannot simply relax like everyone else, but for elite athletes, “off” never truly means off. They do not rest — they Rest Less.
This is the scene at Hotel Armouré, a fictional five-star summer destination created for the launch of Rest Less, the new Sportswear campaign from Under Armour. The hotel’s manager, played by comedian Nick Mohammed, has his hands full with the rambunctious guests.
The Off-Season Is Not What You Think
The golf balls and ice cubes may seem like random mischief, but they share a common motive: a total inability to stay still. Under Armour’s Rest Less campaign celebrates athletes who keep moving even in the off-season, finding new ways to stay active.
‘The Rest Less campaign shows a side of athletes people don’t always get to see,’ says Ollie. ‘The off-season isn’t about sitting still; it’s about enjoying yourself and finding different ways to stay active. That’s why I enjoyed being part of the Rest Less campaign – a chance to show a different side of me off the pitch and not take things too seriously. I’m also a big golfer, so seeing that side of the creative come to life was really fun.’
Ferran adds: ‘I really enjoyed shooting Rest Less. It feels different from the usual sports campaign and shows another side of athletes beyond competition. It’s exciting to see Under Armour taking Sportswear in this direction, blending performance with style and culture in a really fresh way.’
Styling a Restless Summer
The campaign introduces Under Armour’s latest Sportswear collection, designed for life beyond the field of play. The line features performance-inspired pieces with reflective branding, clean graphic detailing and innovative tech features built for a restless summer.
Among the highlights is the Heavyweight Metal Logo T-Shirt, which combines a bold colour-block design with a super-soft cotton-blend fabric and a relaxed fit. For those who want something more substantial, the Heavyweight Gradient T-Shirt offers premium fabric, a smooth finish and a head-turning gradient design that makes it a true summer classic.
Performance Meets Culture
According to Brian Connell, Under Armour Brand Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, athletes now shape culture just as much as they shape sport. ‘Today’s athletes shape culture just as much as they shape sport, and that’s a shift we’re embracing through our Sportswear strategy,’ he says. ‘Rest Less reflects our belief that performance doesn’t stop at the final whistle. By celebrating how our athletes express themselves beyond competition, we’re continuing to build a Sportswear offering that sits at the intersection of performance, style, and culture.’
Trainers for the Restless
For those who keep moving, footwear is key. Under Armour’s UA Sola trainer packs a punch with a lightweight upper, TPU arch support, cushioned EVA midsole, 3D-printed overlays, reflective detailing and a retro-inspired TPU heel cage. A tough rubber outsole ensures durability.
Runners looking for more can turn to the HB Runner 2, which features a lightweight, breathable upper and responsive UA HOVR™ cushioning that reduces impact and returns energy. Its standout midsole, inspired by the shape of Under Armour’s famous logo, provides stability without weighing you down.
So whether you’re hitting golf balls off a balcony or just heading out for a morning run, Under Armour’s Rest Less collection is made for those who never really stop.
