A professional rugby player from St Helens has revealed a beauty treatment disaster, after her first attempt at eyebrow lamination left her horrified by the dramatic and unexpected results.

Emily Rudge, who plays for both St Helens Women and the England National Women's rugby team, decided to treat herself to the popular brow treatment ahead of the festive season. Having seen pictures of the semi-permanent procedure, which promises to restructure hairs for a fuller, smoother look, she thought it would be a nice Christmas treat.
"I've seen pictures and thought it would be nice to get them done for Christmas," Emily explained to Newsweek. However, the reality was far from the subtle enhancement she had anticipated.
The Shocking Reveal and a Festive Cover-Up
It was only when she returned home that Emily got a proper look at her new brows. She was met with a pair of dark, exaggerated eyebrows, brushed aggressively upwards to appear even larger and bushier. "I was so shocked," she admitted. "I thought they looked ridiculous, and I was scared to leave the house."
Faced with this beauty blunder, the athlete chose to see the funny side. She took to TikTok to share her experience with followers, using a hand to cover her brows before the big reveal. Her salvation came in a festive disguise. Fortunately, she managed to hide the dramatically oversized brows under a Santa hat, a move she credited with saving her holiday look.
