Claudia Winkleman reveals her favourite 'creamy' eyeliner for under £16

Claudia Winkleman has become almost as famous for her smoky-eye makeup as she is for her presenting work. The 52-year-old rarely appears without kohl-rimmed eyes, and now she has revealed the product behind her signature look.

Speaking to Marie Claire magazine, the BBC presenter named Lord & Berry's Kajal Stick as one of her top three eyeliners, saying it "goes on and never comes off". The pencil usually retails at £20, but is available on Amazon for £15.91, offering a 20 percent saving.

The brand describes the formula as "highly pigmented" and capable of delivering an "intense smouldering look". Its creamy texture can be applied to the inside of the eyelid without causing irritation, and it can be worn alone for a semi-matte finish or blended out for a more dramatic effect. Enriched with Vitamin E, it is gentle enough for use around the lashes, and its cone shape means it does not need sharpening.

Shoppers have praised the eyeliner in Amazon reviews for its staying power. One five-star review read: "You only need a little bit and it lasts all day looking as bold as you first put it on. I only use it on the inside rim of my eye (doesn't catch on contacts yaaaay!!) but its so creamy I imagine it could be a smudger if you wanted to use it as a heavy all round eye general liner." Another said: "The Kajal stays on all day - great product."

However, not all feedback has been positive. One three-star reviewer noted that the formula can smudge or run: "I find it does run under the eyes at the end of the day I look like a Panda it's all smudged which I find very disappointing." For those seeking a budget alternative, Makeup Revolution's Streamline Waterline Eyeliner Pencil and Maybelline's Master Kajal Eyeliner are both available for £3.50.
